americawakiewakie replied to your post: I really disagree with smashing windows. If you smash a Starbucks window, it’s hardly gonna affect the Starbucks corporation, but it will scare (and possibly hurt) the baristas inside. Same with smashing store windows, all you’re really harming are the minimum wage cashiers and workers.

Target banks, homes of CEOs and power systems—that’s effective, not windows.

I can definitely agree to this kind of action. Also using sabotage to halt logging operations. Attacking the mansions of the rich, or luxury car dealerships are all tactics that send a message to the ruling class.

No it’s still ineffective even against officials or the rich. Rather than just commit petty attacks against individual members of the ruling class, build solidarity, educate the masses, and fight real class warfare because it doesn’t matter how many individual bourgies you kill, you have to crush their entire class and private property and class itself.

I agree of course, that has to be our focus, and in building the revolutionary struggle, that is the only real path to any meaningful victory.

In situations like environmentalism, groups like the ELF and radicals can do a lot of work for halting environmental destruction while many mainstream environmentalists write letters.
