If you smash a Starbucks window, it’s hardly gonna affect the Starbucks corporation, but it will scare (and possibly hurt) the baristas inside. Same with smashing store windows, all you’re really harming are the minimum wage cashiers and workers.

Individual violence is a terrible tactic. It only discourages class action on the part of the proletariat. However, mass violence as a class is extremely valuable. We can’t be passive in the flimsy name of peace and let our oppressors win.

I disagree, I think that actions of individuals can be quite inspiring, following the anarchist tactic of Propaganda of the Deed. Look at the KKE members who hung revolutionary banners from the acropolis in Greece, or the weathermen, who had thousands of young people who supported them and their actions.

But I definitely think it is not the most effective of tactics, and we need to have a diversity.
